Danshui is a charming and lively seaside town, with eateries, stores and carnival games lining the waterfront and the old street.
Fuyou Temple 褔佑宮 on Danshui Old Street 淡水老街.
Fort San Domingo 紅毛城 was founded by the Spanish in the early 17th century, though the current structures were built by the Dutch from 1642.
The Old Street and night market became incredibly crowded in the evening. It is New Year's Day afterall.
